Topic: back to vtes, we're not in Kansas anymore

I am coming home to Vtes after a hiatus since 3rd.  I am struggling to get an idea of staple crypt cards and commons that have come out across all the sets since I hung it up.  It would be huge for someone to give me an idea of the must-have commons and crypt cards, if the cards are viewed as 'premium-trades', and what I can expect to trade for them (rares, other vamps., common to common, etc.).  I am also trying to figure out what are the desired older cards that I might have.  Are there any cards from the older sets that are sought after?

Re: back to vtes, we're not in Kansas anymore

Off the top of my head, new staple cards one sees everywhere (not clan specific) below. I have minimal access to trading, so my comments on availability are largely based off of ebay. A lot of the good commons are in Keepers of Tradition, unfortunately as the set size is so huge you get very few of each per box.

Commons
-    on the que vive (cheap, easy to get)
-    ashur tablets (unsure)
-    deep song (tough)
-    eyes of argus (hard to get hold of)
-    Sense the savage way (easy)
-    Neonate breach (easy)
-    Camera phone (easy)
-    Into thin air (easy)
-    Resist earth’s grasp (easy)
-    vessel (easy to lay hands on)

Uncommon staples
-    target vitals
-    villein (tough to get, more common thanks to httb starters)

In terms of vampires, there is a heap of good for pretty much everything non-sabbat since 3rd, you’d have to be more specific.

I’m not aware of many older cards being more sought after than before, defelction/parity shift perhaps as they haven’t been reprinted and new players struggle for them
